Leader commentaries on 4 books unveiled

The 6th Commemoration Ceremony for Jihad and Resistance Literature opens in Iran with Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s commentaries on four books unveiled.

The ceremony opened on Wednesday in Iranian Province of Hamadan where Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s commentaries on four books about the Holy Defense were relieved.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the commentary of the Leader on ‘Daughter of Sheena’ was revealed. The book narrates Ghadamkheyr Mohammadi Kanan's memoirs during the Iraq-Iran war written by Behnaz Zarabizadeh. Mohammadi Kanan was wife to an Iranian martyred commander during the Iraq-Iran war.

'When Moonlight Was Lost’, ‘The Eleventh Gulistan’ and ‘Water Never Dies’ are the other three books on which the Leader wrote commentaries.

Ayatollah Khamenei wrote in his commentary about  ‘Daughter of Sheena’ that “May God’s mercy be upon this patient and pious lady. And may God’s mercy be upon that Mujahid, a sincere and self-sacrificing young man, who continued his difficult Jihad despite the excruciating pains that his loving wife endured. I deem it necessary to thank the children of these two honorable individuals as well.”

‘Daughter of Sheena’ was published in Persian by Sureye Mehr Publication in 2011. The book enjoys English and Arabic versions and was a bestselling book in Iran with many reprints.

The book has received an award in the 16th Sacred Defense Book of The Year award in Iran.
