Persian Int’l Filmfest calls for entries

Call for entries in 3 different categories for 2018 Persian International Film Festival has officially opened.

Persian-speaking filmmakers from Iran, Afghanistan or Tajikistan, anywhere in the world are invited to submit their films to the 7th edition of Persian Film Festival in Australia.

The event will present awards in Best Feature Film, Best Short Film and Best Documentary categories.

The festival jury will be granting the Golden Gazelle Award to the winning films during the closing night ceremony.

The Golden Gazelle Award is inspired by an ancient Persian winged-gazelle, dating back to Achaemenes Empire around 4th century BC, signifying vitality and intuition in artistic practice.

Founded in 2011, Persian International Film Festival showcases the best of Iranian cinema and the Persian speaking world in Australia.

The festival will take place on August 29 to September 9, 2018 in Sydney, Australia.
