The Iran Trotter host Javad Gharaei has in interviews with local media outlets, made so many interesting tips about the show and himself. Here’s part 1 of his comments.
- I started my trips as early as 17, with northern Tehran mountains, known as the Alborz mountain range.
- After several years, I found out that hitting a variety of summits wasn’t the kind of thing to bring me tranquility.
- So, I started to reconsider the entire issue, and that was when the nature and the people living there, grabbed my attention.
- That was the beginning of my trips around the country, when I would study the life, customs and traditions in a variety of areas.
- I worked for 2 years with late Mohammad Ali Inanlou, the originator of ecotourism in Iran; in the meantime, I was passing filmmaking courses.
- That was when, in 2009, the ‘Iran Trotter’ idea crossed my mind, because I was determined to record my viewpoint toward Iran and the Iranians.
- The first episode of the series was broadcast on Iran state TV in spring 2013. It was a great success and was broadly welcomed by the audience.
