APFF to hold film event in Argentina

Ammar Popular Film Festival (APFF) and the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) have scheduled to hold a joint film event in Argentina.

The Iranian and Argentinean institutions jointly arranged Iran Independent Film Week for February 23-25, 2017.

The program will display a selected number of APFF films in the Argentinean capital of Buenos Aires.

Among the selected movies are ‘The Gold Collars’ and ‘Orphanage of Iran’, both directed by renowned Iranian filmmaker Abolqasem Talebi.

The two movies, also produced by Talebi, are considered anti-British works.

The program will also screen ‘The All Alone’ directed by Ehsan Abdipour. The film focuses on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.

The Argentinean enthusiasts can watch a number of short documentaries titled ‘The Gas Regulator’, ‘Bright Lights’, ‘Solomon and the Ant’, ‘The Love Market’ and ‘Iran is Great’ during the week.

The National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (Spanish: Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales, INCAA; also referred to as the Argentine National Film Board) is an Argentine government film production company in Buenos Aires.

Established in 1968, the institute promotes the Argentine film industry by funding qualified Argentine film production companies.
