The series ‘Firouzeh’ (turquoise) screenplay writing has kicked off, after Iran-Turkey inked an agreement to jointly produce it.
The producer, Mehran Boroumand, told reporters in Tehran that the series ‘Firouzeh’ is based on an ancient pattern, depicting the historic trip of Rumi from Khorasan to Konya and then all the way back, as well as the wisdom he accumulated during the trek.
Boroumand noted that Rumi is not physically illustrated in the series, but rather, he is portrayed as existing in the imagination of the actors.
He said the first season would comprise 26 episodes, and it is only after that phase when talk of season two would be possible.
The producer added that 50 percent of the story, actors and locations come from the Iranian party, while the rest is brought to the filmmaking project by the Turkish side; also, the series will be screened simultaneously for the two nations.
