ifilm movie for this weekend ‘Standing in the Dust’ is epic depiction of an Iranian army commander and his strange fate against all odds, a review says.

The rave review of ifilm movie pick for this coming Saturday notes ‘Standing in the Dust’ is an acclaimed film directed by first timer Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian containing the real voice of Ahmad Motevaselian.

The flick is a dramatic biopic from Iran cinema grabbing numerous awards at national and international festivals for depiction of such hero.

The focus of the film is on Iranian IRGC commander Ahmad Motevaselian who was abducted by the Zionist regime in Lebanon, the review reads, adding the flick is narrated with a different tool in comparison with movies in such genre.

The evidence-based featuring of a real character can be considered as one of the upsides of ‘Standing in the Dust’ with great team of costume designers and make-up artists who tried to visualize the zeitgeist of the 80s with the brave commander.

The director told local media of his film, “A national hero is depicted in ‘Standing in the Dust’ tailored for the silver screen.”
