Hossein Jafarian joins the academy

Iran cinematographer Hossein Jafarian receives invite to become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

This year, the academy has announced 774 new members. The list also includes Iranian cinematographer Hossein Jafarian  .

Born in 1944, Hossein Jafarian has so far conducted the cinematography team of several Iranian films including Ahmad-Reza Darvish's award winning movie 'Hussein Who Said No' in 2008.

His resume also includes the shooting of Asghar Farhadi's Oscar-winning flick 'The Salesman'  .

The Oscars is an annual US awards ceremony to honor cinematic achievements in the film industry.
