‘The Patriarch’ star talks with ifilm

Iran actress Kamand Amir-Soleymani playing a daughter-in-law role in ‘The Patriarch’ series talks exclusively with ifilm.

Born in 1973, the actress gained fame by playing the role of Azar in ‘The Patriarch’ and appeared in the hit series at the age of 20. Amir-Soleymani is also no stranger to ifilmers with other series such as ‘Cops and Robbers’, ‘Tabriz in Fog’ and ‘Dark Intelligence 1,2’.

The actress made the following points in ifilm interview about her role in ‘The Patriarch’.

1. The main message of the series is that now in the present day, we should give young people the opportunity and allow them to be independent. In my opinion, the best is to tell parents to support young people while not coercing them.

2. My goal by playing the character was to show a young girl that could stand on her own feet.

3. Comparing her role as a daughter-in-law in the series with the present day’s brides, she said the situation is different now, and we all try to resolve our problems with negotiations and peace.
