Iranian animation ‘The Secret of Butterflies’ has been set to be screened at the 15th edition of the Salento International Film Festival (SIFF) in Italy.
Directed and produced by Ali Tanhaee, ‘The Secret of Butterflies’ succeeded to attend the competition section of the Italian film event.
“The main character of the story wishes to change to a beautiful butterfly. To achieve this goal, he starts a journey in which he faces lots of ups and downs,” a short synopsis of the flick reads.
‘The Secret of Butterflies’ has so far succeeded to win Best Children Award and Best Director Award from the 2017 edition of the Isfahan International Festival of Films for Children and Young adults.
Founded in 2004 and set in Salento, the SIFF has always represented a melting pot of cultures and traditions. The festival is totally dedicated to Independent productions.
The SIFF has become an International event with lovely “touring” concept, which started with film screenings in London at the Prince Charles Cinema (the only independent cinema in Central London) back in 2010.
Since then SIFF Tour has presented many independent films around the world in cities like Zurich, Moscow, St Petersburg, Hong Kong, Santiago, Yerevan and some more.
The latest edition of the SIFF will kick off on September 1, and will come to an end on September 9, 2018, in Italy.
