Iranian actress Fatemeh Motamed-Arya has been selected as jury member at the Venice Film Festival in Italy.
Motamed-Arya has been chosen to judge at the Horizons section of the festival.
Motamed-Arya is an Iranian actress whose first work for television was in the puppet show ‘School of Mice’ in 1982. She made her cinematic debut with ‘Struggle’ in 1986.
She has been nominated for Fajr Festival Crystal Simorghs and won a good number.
Also Iranian film 'As I Lay Dying' is scheduled to vie at Orizzonti/ Horizons section.
Directed by Mostafa Sayyari, the film will vie at the competition section of 75th edition of the festival.
The Venice Film Festival or Venice International Film Festival, founded in 1932, is the oldest film festival in the world and one of the "Big Three" film festivals alongside the Cannes Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival.
