Iran cinemas to host best Fajr film

Iranian movie theatres are slated to screen best 2018 Fajr film ‘The Lost Strait’.

The flick directed by Bahram Tavakoli will get theatrical release in Iran starting from August.

The news will make movie fans tremendously delighted as they have long waited for public screening of the film acclaimed at the 36th edition of Fajr Film Festival with several awards, including the Best Director for the helmer and Best Actor for Amir Jadidi.

Javad Ezzati, a well-known face for ifilmers with shows such as ‘Huge Problems’ and ‘What Goes Around, Comes Around’, also costars in the film.

‘The Lost Strait’ depicts Iranian combatants in an epic battle during the last days of the Iraq-imposed war on Iran.

Iranian forces were busy in war. Ammar soldiers were given some days off to return home, but were dispatched to a strait after they got informed that Iraqi forces were advancing to Fakkeh and Sharhani regions in Khuzestan and Ilam provinces.

The February awards ceremony for 36th Fajr Film Festival was held in Iranian capital city of Tehran.
