Portugal fest to screen 'Gray Umbrella'

Iranian short film 'Gray Umbrella' has been scheduled to go on screen at the 11th edition of the Human Rights Short Film Festival (Entretodos Festivales De Cortas-Metrangens de Derechos Humano) in Portugal.

Directed by Mohmmad Poustindouz, the film is accepted into the screening program of the Portuguese film event.

Based on a loose adaptation of a short story by Argentinean writer Fernando Sorrentino, titled ‘There's a Man in the Habit of Hitting me on the Head with an Umbrella’, ‘Gray Umbrella’ is the story of a man with a bad habit, until a man with an umbrella enters his life.

The film has won the Best Short Film award at the 40th edition of the USA Film Festival.

Founded in 2008, the Human Rights Short Film Festival selects most of its films from the main film festivals worldwide where they have been awarded, critically acclaimed, and requested by other festivals further extending the reach of each and every film.

The 2018 edition of the Portuguese event is slated for August 20-25.
