Iran series to start shooting

The shooting for Fereydoun Jeyrani's new series 'Telegram' is to kick off.

Jeyrani's latest project is a home market series.

The new series 'Telegram', has decided upon some of the actors/ actresses who are Leila Hatami, Farhad Aslani, Vishka Asayesh and Mahour Alvand.

Born in 1951, Fereydoun Jeyrani made his stage début with acting in a play named ‘Esmat’ in 1972.

He entered the film industry by writing the screenplay for a movie by Mehdi Sabaghzadeh in 1981 and continued writing until 1987 when he directed his first movie.

He has directed several movies, including ‘Red’ (1998), ‘Fire and Water’ (2000), ‘The Last Supper’ (2001), ‘Pink’ (2002), ‘Season Salad’ (2004), ‘Zagros’ (2005), the trilogy of ‘Stars’ (2005), ‘Parkway’ (2006), ‘Parya's Story’ (2010), and ‘I'm a Mother’ (2010).

He has also made series such as ‘The Gradual Death of a Dream’ (2008) and ‘The Warped Interpretation of a Dream’ (2015).

Jeyrani has been nominated for several awards for movies such as ‘Red’, ‘The Last Supper’, and ‘Pink’.

In addition to directing, Jeyrani is also a producer, cinematographer, screenplay writer, television anchor and journalist.
