'The Pahlavi Hat' director departs life

Iran veteran director of 'The Pahlavi Hat' Seyyed-Ziaeddin Dorri passes away at 65.

According to a media report, the late director suffered from liver disease for some time and was hospitalized for a liver transplant operation.

Around three weeks ago he underwent the surgery but due to general weakness and kidney failure, he couldn't survive all the pain and deceased on August 17, 2018.

During his fruitful artistic life, the director wrote and made several films including 'Thunderbolt' (1984), 'Cinema is Cinema' (1997), 'The Legion' (1998), 'Forbidden Love' (2005) and 'Deborah and I' (2005).

He also directed several TV series, two of which have been aired by ifilm, 'The British Briefcase' (1999) and 'The Pahlavi Hat' (2006-2011).
