ifilm’s new series, ‘Brother’, has been scheduled to go on air from September 2, 2018.
‘Brother’, produced by Nemat Chegini and directed by Javad Afshar, is one of the most popular Iranian dramas during the recent years.
In the series, Haj Kazem Pahlavan, a reputable merchant in Tehran’s rice bazaar, is all about supporting domestic production, and trades nothing but Iranian rice.
This puts him at odds with his disgruntled son, Nasser, who thinks making a profit is the only thing that matters. In the meantime, his daughter, Maryam, a passionate young journalist, is conducting her own investigation into the expired and contaminated foreign rice flooding the market.
To her surprise, all the clues lead to her own brother, Nasser. What ensues is a power struggle between good and evil, in a story of love, sacrifice, and redemption.
The series cast list includes Reza Tavakkoli, Gelareh Abbasi, Pouriya Poursorkh, Soheila Razavi, Hossein Yari, Majid Vasheqani, Hassan Pourshirazi, Kazem Balouchi, Kaveh Khoda-Shenas, Sogol Tahmasbi, Mojgan Bayat, Mehrdad Ziaei, and Biouk Mirzaei.
‘Brother’, made in 2016, is scheduled to be the replacement for the series ‘The Man with a Thousand Faces’, which will be aired daily at 20:00 GMT.
ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the next day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00 (all GMT times). It is comprised of 29 episodes.
