Iran-Italy film project launches in 2019

 New Iran- Italy joint cinematic project directed by Iranian-Armenian helmer is set to kick off in 2019, a media report says.

The project at the helm of Iranian-Armenian Anahid Abad will begin pre-production stage in 2019 following talks with Italian team and a short introduction at Venice Film Festival held a while ago.

The acclaimed director who made notable Iran-Armenia joint film 'Yeva' will make her new flick based on a novel by Antonia Arslan who is an Italian writer and academic of Armenian origin.

An international picture company reportedly gave a positive response to sponsor the new film with Iranian actor Homayoun Ershadi named among the cast.

More details on the new joint Iran-Italy production are yet to be revealed.
