Iran actor Kambiz Dirbaz starring in ifilm series ‘Michael’ visits quake-hit children from Iranian province of Kermanshah.
The famed actor met up with children hailing from Sarpol-e Zahab on the first day of school as a symbolic gesture to care for those who lost their loved ones in an earthquake hitting western Iran a while back.
The actor gave out free stationeries and gifts sponsored by a campaign titled “Ill-attended children are lonelier.”
Dirbaz acting as the popular face for the good cause rang the school bells in two educational facilities in the province.
In 2017, a 7-magnitude earthquake struck villages and towns in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah, killing hundreds and injuring thousands.
The quake was believed to hit the town of Sarpol-e Zahab the hardest.
