Iranian House of Cinema has announced 'Orduckly' as one of Iran's representatives to screen at 2018 Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Australia.
Directed by Behrouz Gharippour, the children's flick has been announced to the festival as one of the four Iranian films to be reviewed at this edition of the film event.
The flick shows the life complications of a young smart boy called Orduckly.
Orduckly's father, a technician at Tabriz railway station, is forced to move to Tehran for the medical treatment of his wife, who is suffering from a terminal disease.
Once in Tehran, he registers his kid at a renowned school without thinking about the unfortunate consequences the son will be facing because of his name.
ifilm movie 'Days of Life' star, Hengameh Qaziyani is among the cast in the film.
APSA serves to foster a spirit of collaboration and opportunity among the most populous and fastest-growing cinematic region in the world and the APSA ceremony brings some of the region’s leading filmmakers together in Brisbane for one of Asia Pacific’s largest multicultural gatherings, according to a page on the event’s official website.
The 12th edition of the festival is slated for November 29, 2018.
