Feature-length documentary 'Finding Farideh' has been announced as Iran's representative at 2018 Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Australia.
Iranian House of Cinema picked out the documentary, co-directed by Azadeh Mousavi and Kourosh Ataei.
'Finding Farideh' story begins with a newspaper report which read a young woman who was adopted by a Dutch family is looking for her biological parents.
APSA serves to foster a spirit of collaboration and opportunity among the most populous and fastest-growing cinematic region in the world and the APSA ceremony brings some of the region’s leading filmmakers together in Brisbane for one of Asia Pacific’s largest multicultural gatherings, according to a page on the event’s official website.
The 12th edition of the festival is slated for November 29, 2018.
