Biggest project on Iran Holy Defense

‘The Midday Event’ sequel is set to be the hugest cinematic project on Iran-Iraq war, a media report says.

'According to the Saturday media report, 'Midday Event: Blood Trap' which is the second installment to highly acclaimed original title is expected to be a blockbuster in Iran domestic box-office with the largest-scale budget for a film on Iran Holy Defense against Iraq’s former Baath regime in the 1980s.

 Directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, the movie is currently on the shooting stage in Tehran.

‘Midday Event’, a political drama that portrays the terrorist atrocities of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Iran during the 1980s, crowned best at the 35th Fajr Film Festival in 2017.

The follow-up to the original will use a great deal of military machinery and equipment as well as a large number of extras besides the main cast.
