'Blade and Cashmere' shooting reaches end

Iran filmmaker Kioumars Pourahmad has put an end to the shooting of his latest offering 'Blade and Cashmere'.

With the film shoot ending, the editing stage which started concurrent with it will resume.

Pourahmad’s latest directing experience will head to the 37th edition of Fajr Film Festival to be held in Iran.

Popular ifilm stars Houman Barghnavard, Pejman Bazeghi and Mehran Rajabi are the main cast of the film.

Born in 1949, Iranian director, playwright, producer and editor Kioumars Pourahmad entered film industry by writing the screenplay for a movie made by Mohsen Taqvaee which was produced for children.

His other memorable movies include ‘Shame’ (1991), ‘Winter Solstice’ (2001), ‘Ice Flower’ (2004) and ‘The Night Bus’ (2006).

His most popular series ‘The Stories of Majid’ (1991) was originally produced for young audience, but quickly became a national hit among all age groups.

Pourahmad has also directed other popular television series ‘Clue’ (1996) and ‘Open Parenthesis’ (2009-2010).

He won a Crystal Simorgh from the 14th Fajr Film Festival for directing ‘Strange Sisters’ (2005).
