‘Retouch’ wins award in Swiss fest

Iran short film ‘Retouch’ has succeeded to grab Best Short Film Award from Shnit Worldwide Short Film Festival in Swiss.

The jury panel of Shnit Worldwide Short Film Festival granted Best Short Film Award of the event to Iranian short film ‘Retouch’.

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, ‘Retouch’ is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.

The film has so far participated in many international film festivals, including the 13th Cyprus Film Festival, the 5th Basta International Film Festival in Serbia, and the 2018 Orvieto Cinema Fest in Italy.

It has previously won Best Short Film awards at the Krakow International Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Film Festival, and the Tribeca Film Festival, all in the US.

shnit Worldwide Shortfilmfestival unfolds simultaneously in multiple cities on five continents, bringing together more than 35,000 filmmakers and film lovers in ways rarely experienced elsewhere on the festival circuit. The INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION includes 111 short films with four award categories and attracts award-winning short filmmakers from around the globe. 

The 2018 edition of the event was held on 18-28 October.
