Cinema Verite unveils Mining poster

‘Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Documentary Film’ section of the 12th Cinema Verite has unveiled its poster designed by Hamid-Reza Bidaqi.

This section of the event will be held by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) as well as Documentary and Experimental Film Center.

Some 16 titles will compete at this section, including ‘Remember’ by Shahran Baqeri, ‘Heiress of Kioumars’ by Pejman Mazaheripour, ‘Sleeping Black’ by Rouhollah Akbari, ‘Khuzestan Steel’ by Manouchehr Moshiri, and ‘Granite’ as well as ‘Bread and Stone’ by Mohammad Abdollahi.

The Cinema Verite intends to protect the nation's identity, promote creative documentary, reinforce the bond between documentary cinema and social facts and events, introduce new global developments in documentary cinema and provide financial support for documentarians by distributing and screening their works in other festivals.

The 12th edition of the Cinema Verite is scheduled for December 9-16, 2018. The cinema halls to host the event include Soureh in Isfahan, Shahid Avini in Bushehr, Setareh Baran in Tabriz, Howzeh Honari in Sari, and Golestan in Shiraz as well as Charsou in Tehran.
