Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and Farabi Cinema Foundation (FCF) have set to hold an event in Spain to review 40 years of Iranian cinema.
The FCF will Screen seven Iranian films with Spanish Subtitles in Girona cinema in Barcelona.
The lineup includes ‘So Close, So Far’ by Reza Mirkarimi, ‘The Blue-Veiled’ by Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, ‘Travelers’ by Bahram Beyzaie, ‘The Glass Agency’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia, ‘Close-Up’ by Abbas Kiarostami, ‘Leila’ by Darioush Mehrjui and ‘I'm Taraneh, 15’ by Rasoul Sadr-Ameli.
Screening of mentioned films in Spain will be held simultaneous with the 40th anniversary of Islamic Revolution in Iran.
Iran and Spain have always had close political and economic relations. Also, Iranian and Spanish cinematic productions have found their place among Iranian and Spanish audience.
Indeed, it’s not the first time that Iranian films are being screened in Spain. Previously some events have been held to showcase some of Iranian films in Spain’s different cinema halls.
