‘Pinned’ to enjoy new star

Iranian actor Mehrdad Ziaei has joined new series project ‘Pinned’.

Directed by Mehrdad Khoshbakht, the series will have Ziaei before the camera.

Born in 1968, Mehrdad Ziaei has a degree in Natural Resources. He made his stage debut in 1990, before trying his luck in TV, Cinema and Radio.

He is a writer and researcher who made his way to acting through writing. Ziaei left his studies in law and has been into art and culture for more than 20 years.

He made his debut in ‘The Tenth Night’ (1990) and so far has appeared in the series ‘The Innocent Ones’ (2008), ‘Neverending Road’ (2006), ‘The Compensation’ (2008), ‘The Chef’ (2009), ‘Heart of Ice’ (2010), ‘Yalda’ (2012), ‘Remembrance’ (2013), ‘Like a Mother’ (2013) and ‘Kimia’ (2015).

Some of Mehrdad Ziaei’s movies are ‘The Lizard’ (2003), ‘In the Name of Father’ (2005), ‘The Purple’ (2005), ‘The Book of Law’ (2008), ‘At the End of Winter's Alley’ (2009), ‘The Third Floor’ (2009), ‘Paris to Paris’ (2010), ‘A Respected Family’ (2011) and ‘The Ascended’ (2014).

‘Pinned’ narrates the story of Mosayyeb who after 45 years finds out that he has never been the only child of the family.

The cast list includes Houman Barqnavard, Sara Khoiniha, Amir-Hossein Rostami, Mehrdad Ziaei, Mehran Rajabi, Bita Saharkhiz, Mahvash Sabrkon and Mona Eskandari.
