‘There at that Time’ wraps up filming

Sirous Alvand’s ‘There at that Time’ has concluded shooting in Tehran.

Iranian movie ‘There at that Time’ directed by Sirous Alvand wrapped up shooting in Tehran yesterday, beginning the post-production phase with its sight set on the 37th annual Fajr Film Festival.

Asked about the latest status and whether his film would be ready in time for the Fajr Film Festival, Sirous Alvand said: “The filming was completed according to schedule. Currently, the film is going through post-production so as to avoid any obstacles in participating at the Fajr Film Festival.”

The administrative commission of the Fajr Film Festival had recently introduced ‘There at that Time’ as a reserve film in case one of the festival’s main competitors does not complete post-production in time for the event.

‘There at that Time’ is the story of Ra’na, a grade-school teacher, and Amir, a laborer at a crystal production workshop, who begin their romantic life in an old suburban neighborhood. Little do they know that their simple happiness is being targeted by some crazy shenanigans.

Parviz Parastoui, Mahour Alvand, Shahram Haqiqatdoust, Amir-Hossein Fathi, Shahrokh Foroutanian, Saeed Pirdoust, and Yousef Foroutan make up the film’s main cast.

Alvand’s film was originally scheduled to be filmed two years ago; however, he was unable to secure funding for his project until recently.

Founded in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an annual event held on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, celebrating Iranian cinema.

Over the years, the event has played a key role in the development of the Iranian film industry.

This year’s festival will be held from January 30-February 11, 2019 commemorating the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
