The 37th edition of the Fajr Film Festival has planned to honor five well-known Iranian cineastes.
The honorees include designer and art director Ebrahim Haqiqi, director and screenwriter Azizollah Hamid-Nejad, voice actor Khosrow Khosrow-Shahi, actress Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, and film editor Abbas Ganjavi.
Born in 1949, Haqiqi is the designer of Fajr’s Simorgh sign. He also has designed posters for seven editions of the festival.
Haqiqi who has designed some 70 posters for feature movies, earned the honorary diploma for designing the poster of ‘Tik-Tak’ movie. He also gained awards for the trailer of ‘Frosty Roads’ in 6th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.
The 59-year old director Hamid-Nejad won Crystal Simorgh award at the 10th edition of the festival for ‘Hoor on Fire’ movie. He has been a member of jury in different editions of the festival.
Famous Iranian voice actor Khosrow-Shahi has been the voice director of more than 85 movies.
Born in 1961, well-known actress Motamed-Arya had been nominated for Crystal Simorgh for ‘Here, Without Me’ (2010), ‘Gilaneh’ (2003), ‘Life’ (1997), ‘Blue Scarf’ (1994), and ‘Reyhaneh’ (1989).
She garnered the award of Best actress in a leading role for ‘Spouse’ and ‘Once Forever’. She also won the award of Best actress in a supporting role for ‘Passengers’ and ‘Wasteland’.
Born in 1941, Ganjavi won Fajr awards for ‘Tatoureh’ and ‘Chrysanthemum’. He has also been nominated to receive Crystal Simorgh for a number of movies and series including ‘Kimia’, ‘Two Films with One Ticket’, ‘A Place to Live’ and ‘Blue Scarf’.
