Iranian short film ‘Bitter Sea’ is scheduled to compete at the Fajr Film Festival.
Directed by Fatemeh Ahmadi, the short film is one of the films to vie at the 37th edition of the festival.
‘Bitter Sea’ is about the suffering of an immigrant mother.
It tells the story of a Romanian single mother who escapes from an abusive husband and flees to London to build a better future for her daughter.
She has found a job and place to live, but the landlord has a strict ‘no children allowed’ policy. Trapped in an impossible situation, she has to find a way to hide her daughter being in the flat.
