Award-winning pop vocalist, Farzad Farzin, has been cast for new series ‘Mannequin’.
The prolific Iranian singer and musician joins the new home market screening project, while he has acting experience in another series named ‘Asheghaneh’ in his resume.
Being active in the arena of music production for almost two decades, Farzin is a young musician who has recorded numerous albums and singles. He’s been well-received by his audiences and most his concerts have sold out early on after they’ve been announced. His 2018 performance in Dolby theater of Los Angeles, that has hosted Academy Awards since 2002, was not an exception to this.
As an actor, Farzad was a recurring character named Touraj Chalabiyani in the series ‘Asheghaneh’. Touraj was an impersonator and a double to real Farzad Farzin.
A brief synopsis of the series reads, “It doesn’t matter if people are always around you. What counts is the quality of their existence. It matters when you need them or you are in trouble, they are there for you. Their presence is worthless, if they are stone dead like a mannequin.”
According to a media report, the screenplay for ‘Mannequin’ has been composed and it is set to be a 26-episode flick.
Besides Farzin, the new flick has so far taken on famous Iranian actors such as Merila Zarei and Mohammad-Reza Foroutan.
