The 34th Fajr Music Festival is to host the Austrian-Iranian Symphonic Orchestra (AISO) at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall.
The orchestra will perform three operas, including ‘Don Giovanni’, ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ and ‘The Magic Flute’ by Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The repertoire also includes ‘St Paul’s Suite’ by English composer Gustav Holst as well as pieces by Austrian composer Johann Strauss.
The orchestra will be accompanied by an Austrian singer whose name wasn’t mentioned.
Founded in 1986, the Fajr International Music Festival has emerged as Iran’s most prestigious Music Festival three years after the formation of the film and theatre festivals in the artistic sphere of Iran.
Since then, the music festival has enjoyed strong performances by many famous national and international artists.
The 34th Fajr Music Festival will be held in Tehran from February 13- 19, 2019.
