New film ‘Midday Adventures: Trace of Blood’ has unveiled poster while competing at the 37th edition of the Fajr Film Festival (FFF).
The film that has succeeded to win a slot as a contestant at the main competition section of the 37Fajr Film Festival has been made under the directorial talent of Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian.
The new flick is a sequel to Mahdavian’s political drama ‘Midday Adventures’ and follows the story of terrorist atrocities by the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization in Iran during the 1980s.
Among many awards and nominations it gained, the first part of the film won best film award from the 35th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.
Hadi Hejazifar, Hasti Mahdavifar, Behnoush Tabatabaee, Mohsen Kiaee, Javad Ezzati and Hossein Mehri are among the cast members of the new flick.
“They searched Afshin’s house; and my sister’s. Didn’t you tell them who I am? Didn’t tell them what your friend can do? You smell cigarette smoke, report it too …” reads a short synopsis for the movie.
Established in 1982, the FFF is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, the festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
The 37th FFF is slated for January 30-February 11, 2019, in Tehran and several other Iranian cities.
