Iranian short film ‘Karma’ has been taking part at the 2019 edition of the On-Air Festival in Italy.
The third edition of On-Air Festival (Sorrento) is featuring ‘Karma’ directed by Arshia Zeinali.
Zeinali is also producer, actor, scriptwriter, editor, and sound mixer of 'Karma'.
The short film is about a man who comes out of sea waves to go for hunting.
Zeinali is most famous for his short film ‘Hypnotism’.
‘Hypnotism’ grabbed the Essence Award at the 4th edition of the International Peace & Film Festival in Florida, the US.
‘Hypnotism’ tells the routine story of people involved thoroughly - or hypnotized - by the technology of modern life, in particular smart phones.
Set in a taxi, the film depicts people who get in and out of the car, all using their phones all the way, narrating their partial stories.
The On-Air Festival is a festival-laboratory open to experimentation, new technologies and the mixture of different artistic forms, which wants to give visibility to creativity expressed through the cinematographic language and promote a civic culture that meets the new requirements of man-environment compatibility”.
This 3rd edition of the festival kicked off in Sorrento on March 27 and will wrap up on March 29.
