Iranian short ‘The Castle’ has been crowned best film at the 1st annual Arizona International Short Film Festival in the US.
Written and directed by Saba Qasemi, the short drama competed along with 15 other titles, succeeding to grab Best Short Film Award of the festival.
A brief synopsis for the short reads, 'Some castles are made of bricks; some are made out of books, but all castles stand by memories.’
The cast starring in ‘The Castle’ includes Sajjad Tabesh, Armin Sayyad, Mahdokht Molaee, Sima Sheybani, Emad Emami and Ali Nasir.
With the aim “to forge productive and lasting relationships between independent filmmakers and audiences”, the Arizona International Short Film Festival is a forum for quality short-length cinematic works from all around the world.
The latest run of the event was held on April 5, 2019, with the winners being announced days later.
