The 9th annual Varesh Film Festival in Iran has announced names of 24 titles to vie for International Competition.
According to a press release issued by the Varesh International Film Festival, the films will be representing Afghanistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
The festival’s International Competition titles and the countries they will be representing are as follows:

The Varesh International Film Festival aims to strengthen and support anthropological films and introduce the common cultural heritage of the Caspian Sea states.
Identifying new talents are also among the main objectives of the festival.
The 9th edition of the festival will be held in the northern city of Babol in Mazandaran Province on April 29 – May 3, 2019.
