Iran film ‘Labyrinth’ starring Shahab Hosseini has been set to premiere on Eid al-Fitr in the domestic cinema theaters.
The film that is Amir-Hossein Torabi’s debut feature is currently on the screen of Film Market at the 37th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival.
‘Labyrinth’ is a social drama which shows the life challenges that a married couple experience.
Palme d’Or winning Iranian superstar Shahab Hosseini has one of the main roles in the new flick.
Torabi explains in an interview held on the sideline of Fajr film event about how he was looking for creating a film with fast tempo. He adds that the plot of the film is comprised of a plethora of events that follow one another so the story has multiple cliff hangers.
Hosseini and Sareh Bayat who have already played couple in Asghar Farhadi’s ‘A Separation’ co-star in this film too.
Ghazaleh Nazar, Fariba Jeddikar and Alireza Sanifar make the other cast.
The script of the film has been written by Iranian scriptwriter Tala Motazedi.
The 37th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival which kicked off on April 18 is currently underway in the Iranian capital city of Tehran. The event is set to wrap up on April 26.
