The 67th edition of the Trento Film Festival, which is currently underway in Italy, has been screening Iranian documentary ‘Red and White’ directed by Mohammad Farzinnia.
‘Red and White’ is participating at the ALP&ISM section of the Italian festival.
The documentary is “about the burial of a group of mountaineers under the avalanche and the effort of fellow alpinists to save them which ended in tragedy,” a synopsis for the film reads.
According to the gala’s website, ALP&ISM is “a non-competitive section dedicated to mountaineering, climbing, adventure and mountain sports disciplines”.
‘Red and White’ brings to three the number of films representing Iran at the Italian event.
Earlier reports said that Iranian documentary ‘Beloved’ directed by Yasser Talebi and short animated film ‘The Fox’ by Sadeq Javadi are among the competing films at the festival.
The Trento Film Festival is the oldest international film festival dedicated to the mountains, adventure and exploration.
The 67th edition of the festival kicked off on April 27 in the city of Trento and is set to run until May 5.
