'Era’ named Genericamente Umani semi-finalist

Iran’s animation ‘Era' (Douran) has been named among the semi-finalists at the Genericamente Umani Film Festival in Italy.

From a list of 30 films, ‘Era’ was selected as one of the 10 semi-finalists at the Italian event, said Abdolrahman Barzegar, the head of Bushher Youth Cinema Society.

He added that some 700 films were initially submitted to the festival.

‘Era’ directed by Hamid Haqjou, is about two feet (symbol for human beings) that seem different when they are in darkness. They later unite as a gate of universe opens.

The film has attended several international festivals so far.

The Genericamente Umani will be held in the Italian city of Milan next month.
