A lineup of seven Iranian shorts has been scheduled to go on screen at the 21st Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) in Japan.

To be screened in various sections of the Japanese event, the lineup includes ‘Reporter’ by Mohammad-Reza Kheradmandan, ‘A+’ by Behrang Mirzaee and ‘Cover’ by Vahid Alvandifar.

The Iranian list goes on with ‘Empty View’ by Ali Zare-Qanatnowi, ‘Story of a Man without Lips’ by Milad Shahjani, ‘The Fox’ by Sadeq Javadi, and ‘Mr. Deer’ by Mojtaba Mousavi.

Established in 1999, the SSFF & ASIA is endorsed by the Academy Awards and is one of the largest international short film festivals in Asia, according to the official website of the event.

The program aims “to introduce people with various backgrounds and share their lives and emotions to spread the importance of giving a hand to people around you, and realize how wonderful and grateful we are to live in peace,” the website of the festival reads.

The 21st edition of the SSFF & ASIA is slated for May 29-June 23, 2019, in Tokyo, Japan.
