‘Sara’ en route to Mexico

Iranian documentary ‘Sara’ is to vie at the competition section of the 8th Hidalgo International Film Festival in Mexico.  

Directed by Hadi Shariati, the Iranian doc is about the struggles of a filmmaker and his wife to help their visually-impaired daughter.

‘Sara’ has previously won awards at the Queen Palm International Film Festival in the US, and 2018 edition of the LakeCity International Film Festival in India.

Shariati has also won a mention at the 2018 edition of the LakeCity International Film Festival in India.

Hidalgo Film Fest is a global gathering for the exhibition of contemporary cinematographic works.

The festival bestows Tenango award, which is granted to the most outstanding work in each of the festival’s six categories.

The event date is scheduled for June 24 – 29, 2019.
