Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Fahimi has been selected to join the jury panel at the 59th Krakow Film Festival in Poland.
The Iranian filmmaker will be on jury of the short film competition, the festival organizers announced recently.
Fahimi is in charge of the International Department of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society and the artistic director of the Tehran International Short Film Festival.
Headed by Polish filmmaker Jacek Petrycki, the other members of the panel are Zbigniew Czapla from Poland, Alexei Medvedev from Russia and Sari Volanen from Finland.
Two films from Iran, ‘A House for You’ by Mehdi Bakhshi-Moqaddam and ‘Dissect’ by Siavash Shahabi, will also compete at this edition of the Krakow event.
‘A House for You’ is a documentary that depicts the life of a 30-year-old boy named Davoud who has been married for one year. While Davoud is dealing with bankruptcy, he is diagnosed with cancer. In this situation, he has to make new choices in his life…

The Krakow Film Festival is one of Europe's oldest events dedicated to documentary, animation and other short film forms.
The 59th edition of the festival will be held on May 26-June 2, 2019.
