Germany to host Globe Int’l Silent Filmfest

German University has been set to host the 4th edition of the Globe International Silent Film Festival.

The latest edition of the Iranian film event directed by Raha Amir-Fazli will be held at Fachhochschule Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Germany.

Globe International Silent Film Festival is an annual cinematic event that focuses on image and non-verbal cinema.

Each year a reputable university or academic environment is set to be hosting the festival which showcases and judges films from active filmmakers in the field. The date of the festival may vary from February to April based on the venue it takes place at.

Last year, for example, the event held from April 21 to 29 in the University of Wisconsin-Madison

Established in 1971 Fachhochschule University offers studies at fields such as applied social sciences, architecture, design, computer sciences, economics, engineering, information technology and electrical engineering. More than 12,500 students are currently studying at the university.

The 4th edition of the Globe International Silent Film Festival is slated for May 27-28, 2019.
