Iranian documentary ‘Life, Shadow, Life’ is set to contend in Italian documentary festival.
Directed by Shahriar Pourseyedian, ‘Light, Shadow, Life’ has been selected to compete in the competition section of the 14th edition of the Sole Luna Doc Film Festival in Italy.
The documentary depicts the life of an intellectually disabled young man living with his artist father who has invented a custom learning technique catered to him.
Pourseyedian’s 20-minute documentary was previously featured at the 13th Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Founded in 2006 in Palermo, Italy, the Sole Luna Doc Film Festival is an international event in its 14th year which aims “to unite and promote the encounter between people, ideas, perspectives and looks and to bring to the attention of the widest possible audience original and courageous points of view through the documentary filmmaking,” according to its website.
The festival will be held July 7-13 in Palermo and Venice, Italy.
