Cologne’s Visions of Iran outs full list

The Visions of Iran, a festival of Iranian films in Cologne, has revealed the full list of participating films.

Being annually organized by Museum Ludwig in the German city of Cologne, the event will put spotlight on films produced in Iran.

A lineup of seven animations by Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) will be reviewed during the event.

The lineup includes ‘Black or White’ by Mohammad-Ali Soleimanzadeh, ‘The Shadow which Turned into Light’ by Nazanin Sobhan-Sarbandi, ‘My Moon, Our Moon’ by Mohammad Nasseri, ‘Cloudy Goats’ by Hamid Karimian, ‘Scarecrow’s Heart’ by Gholamreza Kazzazi, ‘The Trees Thief’ by Rashin Kheirieh and ‘Butterfly’ by Maryam Khalilzadeh.

The festival also presents a number of Iranian feature films, including ‘Orange Days’ by Arash Lahouti, ‘Reza’ by Alireza Motamedi, and ‘Sheeple’ by Houman Seyyedi.

Some representatives of Iranian documentary cinema at the German event are ‘Mouth Harp in a Minor Key’ by Maryam Sepehri and ‘Karoon’ by Mohammad Ehsani.

Running from 2013, the Visions of Iran has been presenting the diversity of Iranian cinema to a mixed German-Iranian audience and the lively Iranian Diaspora community in Germany.

The 6th edition of the Visions of Iran will kick off in the German city of Cologne on May 30 and will run until June 2, 2019.
