The second season of ifilm popular series 'Father' is set to be produced.
Hamed Anqa, producer of the hit series, said to the local media that a sequel with a different approach from the original will be made due to huge popular reception of 'Father' in Iran.
"Upon receiving a request by the IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) for the second season, our team has shown readiness to make the sequel with a focus on the pivotal role of a father in families," Anqa adds.
He also emphasized that the new installment will retain Mehdi Soltani-Sarvestani as the father’s character as well as Laya Zanganeh who played the mother’s role.
“The storyline for the second season has little dependence on other characters,” the producer indicates.
