Palm Springs Film Festival in the US is slated to host Iranian short film ‘The Role’.
Directed by internationally-celebrated director Farnoush Samadi, ‘The Role’ will be screened at the 25th edition of the short film festival.
The 11-minute film narrates the story of a woman who accompanies her husband for an audition. The things that happen at the meeting leads the woman to make an important decision.
Babak Hamidian and his wife Mina Sadati, the ifilm star of ‘Leila’s Loneliness’ are among the cast members of ‘The Role’.
The 25th edition of the event will take place in the city of Palm Springs in California on June 18-24.
The Oscar-qualifying event is “the largest short film festival and market in North America,” according to the gala’s website.
