Iran cinemas to welcome Eid al-Fitr with new films

A lineup of six new films of various genres has been selected to grace Iranian theaters on Eid al-Fitr, the celebration marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The highlight of Eid al-Fitr screening, which will kick off on Wednesday, is Narges Abyar’s ‘Night of the Full Moon’, a true love story of Abdul-Hamid Rigi who was a member of the Jundallah terrorist group.

A public screening is scheduled for the big winner of the 37th Fajr Film Festival on Thursday June 6, 2019 with the attendance of A-list crew, including Elnaz Shakerdoust, Houtan Shakiba, Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaee, Shabnam Moghaddami and Narges Abyar.

The joy of Eid al-Fitr will be completed with Nima Javidi’s ‘The Warden’, another top winner of the 37th Fajr Film Festival.

‘The Warden’ is about a prison warden who is assigned to transfer prisoners to a new building during the 1960s.  

The list will go on with some comedy films. To begin with, ‘We Are All Together’ by Kamal Tabrizi which is an all-star cast about the mysteries of passengers in a falling plane.

The selection also includes Qorban Mohammadpour’s ‘The Devil’s Daughter’, a movie with a string of Iranian and Bollywood actors.  

Mohammadpour will tell us the story of the devil’s daughter that seeking for God’s forgiveness comes to earth to find a way to make up for what her father has done.

Trying to find a medium to compensate for her dad’s wrongdoings, she finds a man who must help her.

‘Snake Venom’ by Javad Razavian and ‘Mr. Censorship’ by Ali Jabbarzadeh will also hit the silver screens across the country.

No more synopsis here as the fans need to head to cinemas to watch by themselves and enjoy their time.

Studios in Iran have also launched ticket pre-sale of the lineup for the long-awaited fans.
