Shanghai to screen Iranian ‘Dissect’

The 22nd edition of the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) in China has set to screen Iranian short ‘Dissect’.

 A synopsis for the film directed by Siavash Shahabi reads, “Police have entered a school to investigate the sudden death of a student.”

Alireza Sanifar, Tino Salehi, Mehdi Aqajani, Mohammad-Amin Ashtiani, Mohammad Jafarnejad, Mohammad Akbari, Hossein Gholami, Ilia Nasrollahi, Arian Farzaneh, Shirin Ebrahimi, and Afsaneh Seifi are among the cast.

‘Dissect’ is currently competing at the 59th Krakow Film Festival in Poland.

The SIFF is one of the largest film festivals in East Asia. Since its beginning, the festival has grown to become an A-category international film event.

The 22nd edition of the SIFF is slated for June 15-24, 2019, in Shanghai, China.
