European Film Week to open in Tehran

Over 20 European countries are to participate at the European Film Week 2019 in Iran.

The event will be held in various Iranian cities including Kerman, Isfahan, Kish, Tabriz, Babol, Mashhad and Shiraz, as well as the capital Tehran.

Films from Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Cyprus, Poland, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and the UK are in the lineup.

Five workshops are to be launched on the sidelines of the festival.

The program will open on Saturday at Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran. Representative of the European Union in Iran, a number of foreign ambassadors, cultural attaches, artists, and journalists will be present at the opening.

The festival is slated for June 8-17, 2019.
