Italy to screen Iran ‘Sluggish Life’

Iran’s short ‘Sluggish Life’ directed by Mohsen Mehri has made it to the 2019 edition of the Figari Film Fest (FFF) in Italy.

‘Sluggish Life’ will take part in the 9th edition of the Italian event.

The short experimental film narrates the story of the peculiar life of a sophisticated person.

‘Sluggish Life’ has previously attended the Watersprite International Student Film Festival in the UK, the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania, the Izmir Short Film Festival in Turkey, and the Tehran International Short Film Festival in Iran.

It was named the Best Narrative Short at the 2019 edition of the Art Slope’s 19 - Shorts in the Slope Film Festival in the US.

The Figari is a movie Festival dedicated to “young and independent cinema, to short films and to young directors’ debuts,” the event’s website reads.

Over the years the FFF has become a lead event for international cinema.

The 9th edition of the event will take place in the Italian city of Olbia on June 14-23.
