Pouriya Poursorkh joins cast of new Iranian series ‘From Destiny’.
Produced by Akbar Tahvilian, the first and second seasons of the series are currently being filmed in Tehran, while the director of the third season is yet to be determined.
On the latest status of the film, the producer said, “About 90% of the first season directed by Mohammad-Reza Kheradmandan and 70% of the second season directed by Alireza Bazrafshan have been filmed with the editing phases being completed simultaneously.”
On whether any new actors have joined the series, the producer said, “Pouriya Poursorkh is the latest actor to join the team and Habib Dehghannasab will most likely join the team as well.”
According to the producer of ‘Gone from Memories’, the first season is being filmed in northern Tehran with the second season being shot in southern Tehran.
‘From Destiny’ is a series about the destiny of two children from their early years until adolescence, depicting their life in a foster home.
Majid Vasheghani, Leila Boloukat, Fariba Naderi, Maryam Kazemi, Alireza Ostadi, Mehdi Sabaei, Maedeh Tahmasebi, and Alireza Ara make up the current cast of the first two seasons, with other actors joining the team as the story evolves.
Born in 1977, Poursorkh began his acting career in 2004 with the series ‘Great Escape’.
It wasn’t until 2005, when his performance in the series ‘Vafa’ brought him in to the spotlight.
The famed actor has performed in a number of movies and series over the years, many of which were featured on ifilm.
His filmography includes titles such as ‘The Detour’, ‘The Redemption’, ‘Matador’, ‘Shokraneh’, ‘Brother’, ‘Free Fall’, ‘Kimia’, ‘Day of Envy’, ‘The Silver Man’, ‘Ungrateful’, and ‘The Third Day’.
His performance in ‘The Third Day’ earned him a nomination for the Best Leading Actor from the Fajr International Film Festival.
